Love: Jessica and Bradley {engaged}

I met Jessica four-and-a-half years ago when she was an intern at United Way and assigned to the corporate campaign that I managed. And, she was the best campaign associate we ever had. She managed to put up with my fast, crazy pace and the stress of our campaign and somehow through it all, we became great friends – and now, she’s one of my forever friends. I absolutely adore Jessica and am so happy that she and Bradley will be married in May! … one day after my due date (yikes!). I’m going do my best to keep this baby inside until at least May 15 so I can make her wedding… but if I’m not able to be there, I’ll certainly be there in spirit.

Love: Russell and Leah {engaged}

Leah and Russell are one of those couples that when you meet them together for the first time, you immediately know they fit – perfectly. Leah and I go way back to my first days in Dallas — she’s a great friend, down-to-earth, beyond brilliant, hilarious and life-of-the-party fun (promise… I have incriminating photos!) I’ve been way out of the loop lately, and hadn’t had the opportunity to meet her man, so this was an extra-special session for me. Not only did I get to photograph my beautiful friend… I finally got to meet Russell — the one guy perfect enough to steal Leah’s heart. And, I don’t think the smile ever left my face during my drive home from their session. I’m so very happy for my dear friend and her journey with her soul mate!
Leah first met Russell at The Quarter so we started our session there…
… and finished up at their home and around their neighborhood.

Engaged, beautifully in love and so excited for their September wedding. They fit perfectly together and it was such a privilege to create their engagement portraits – especially because they were my first engagement clients (love that blind trust! Their wedding in September will also be my first.) We had so much fun with this morning session that we’re headed out for an evening session in the next couple of weeks.
